Sustainable Design

Atkins Ireland places significant emphasis on sustainable design. We introduce a 'green' design agenda at an early stage to all of our projects; it is the central facet on most of our project designs.

As a global company, Atkins is at the forefront of sustainable design and the company has embarked on an awareness programme for sustainable design. This programme is being delivered in collaboration with staff from the centres of excellence in sustainable design at the British University in Dubai and the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University.

At the forefront of high rise building design, with extensive experience gained from project commissions in the Middle and Far East and in the UK, Atkins Ireland draws on this expertise for any high rise project opportunity.

Atkins is currently involved in the 240 metre high twin towers Bahrain World Trade Centre which incorporates three wind turbines providing a renewable energy solution for the building.
