- Atkins was appointed as lead designer, as part of an international design & build team, for the new 50m production and distribution facility for an international bottling company, in Co. Antrim. The civil & structural engineering works included the design of 180,000m3 of lime-stabilised earthworks, diversion of the River Lissue, design and installation of major attenuation lagoons, design of a dedicated wastewater treatment plant, a 34,000m2 warehouse and production building, a 5,000m2 two-storey office building and 10,000m2 of support buildings predominantly of steel frame construction.
