All Atkins projects are carried out to the highest possible level and we are one of the few construction industry consultants to be independently accredited to the international standard OHSAS 18001.
Atkins has fulfilled the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) on over 25 projects. This is a newly introduced role with a specialist focus on minimising accidents on site. Atkins is one of the most experienced companies in Ireland in this role.
Atkins has been appointed on a number of occasions by the Health & Safety Authority to carry out detailed accident investigations and prepare Special Reports on the findings. This included attendance at criminal proceedings as an expert witness during subsequent criminal prosecutions for breaches of health & safety legislation.
