- Environmental Reporting on archaeology (including geophysical testing) landscape character, user survey, protected species (fauna and flora), water quality, contamination.
Due to the presence of wetlands on the site, we created a wetland theme for the park. Ground water testing was carried out to understand ground water flow and an Integrated Constructed Wetlands was incorporated within the design. The masterplan also included a 40m wide single span footbridge linking the two communities on either side of the Tolka River, as well as a 200m long steel boardwalk through the wetlands.
The project also includes fish enhancement measures designed in conjunction with the Central & Eastern Fisheries Board.
