- Atkins was appointed by the National Roads Authority (NRA) to provide support services
under their EIRSPAN Bridge Management Framework Contract. Since being appointed, Atkins has been
responsible for the Stage 1 structural assessment of 81 structures in the Ulster/Connaught Region.
The type of structures assessed included the following:
- Arch Bridges (49 numbers)
- R.C. Slabs (25 numbers)
- Precast Prestressed Beams (4 numbers)
- Reinforced Concrete Beams (2 numbers)
- Steel Beam Structure (1 number)
