Fassaroe Local Area Plan

Atkins is part of a team involved in the preparation of a Local Area Plan (LAP), on behalf of developers and Wicklow County Council for lands covering an area of 146 ha at Fassaroe to the west of Bray. The lands will include high density development to support working and residential populations of 15,000 and 7,500 respectively.

Atkins Role:
Atkins' specific role in the project is the planning of transport, water and wastewater services, and includes the design of new roads and the extension of Luas Line B2 from Old Connaught into the Fassaroe lands. Atkins was also responsible for the design and construction supervision of Phase 1 of the development.
