Contract Administration

Atkins is a leader in the administration of construction contracts in Ireland. We have successfully delivered projects in the traditional water and waste water sectors, including the provision of site supervisory staff.  

However, we have also delivered projects under Design-Build Contracts, using a modified form of the FIDIC Orange Book, where we acted as Employer's Representative through the Construction Phase. In some cases these projects were extended to include Operate & Maintain activities and we have also assisted the Employer through the early phases of the O&M by attending Liaison Management Committee Meetings.  

In cases of emergency we have procured water treatment schemes under fast-tracked procurement procedures and Design-Build forms of contract.  

Atkins has experience of the successful negotiation of large claims on water and wastewater projects and also has experience of conciliation procedures.
