Highway Drainage

The Atkins Ireland Water Team supports our Roads Team in Ireland and the UK with the delivery of major roads projects.

We have provided support with conceptual and detailed designs relating to all aspects of the design including advice to clients on Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) including Attenuation\ Balancing and Settlement Ponds, Infiltration Systems, Swales, Open Ditches, Filter Drains, Pollution Control and Spillage Containment Facilities.

All of this along with the hydraulic modelling, using Microdrainage, of the carriageway drainage pipework.

We also carry out Hydrological Analyses, using HEC-RAS and CulvertMaster, in support of OPW Section 50 applications for culvert and bridge crossings along with the detailed design of all required culverts.
