  • Atkins has been commissioned to develop conceptual designs, submit the required planning application, prepare the EIA and undertake public and other stakeholder consultation for a new central waste management hub at Basildon, Essex.
Scope
  • The hub is to be designed to manage all waste generated within the Essex County Council area. The project will include the development of a 110,000 tonne pa Materials Recovery Facility, 350,000 tonnes pa Mechanical Biological Treatment facility and a 180,000 tonne pa In-Vessel Comopster is to be constructed.
