The scope of works includes the preparation of a preliminary report for the above project. This included:

• Update the existing InfoWorks CS foul model
• Update the existing InfoWorks CS storm model including existing streams, culvert and other anciliaries.
• Management of flow survey, topographical survey and photographical survey
• Verification of the storm water model against flow survey  and historical flooding locations
• Verification of the foul model against historical flooding
• Optioneering

The report was prepared in two parts for the submission to Department of Environment and Office of Public Works (OPW).  

• Hydraulic dificiencies were identified within the system
• Proposal for new foul and storm sewers to service the zoned lands
• Proposal for improvements to the existing foul and storm water sewers
• Attenuation and diversion of flow offered as the  best options to avoid the flooding within the town
• A new pumping station for foul sewage is proposed to drain the low lying areas of the zoned land.

• Laying of 890m of new 300mm dia foul sewers
• Laying of 1900m of new 225mm dia foul sewers
• Laying of 890m of new 375mm dia storm sewers
• Laying of 1100m of new 450mm dia storm sewers
• Upsizing of 700m of existing 225mm foul sewers to 300mm sewers
• Upsizing of 135m of exisitng 225mm storm sewers to 300mm sewers
• Construction of new pumping station (22l/s)
• New rising main of 1500m
• Construction of attenuation pond (22,000m3) including flow control devices
• Provision of 1500mm new diveriosn culvert for 450m
